From May 13th to 20th, Piazza Grande in Modena will host “Giardino della Salute e del Benessere”, an immersive installation that brings a multisensory exploration of the relationship between urban greenery, health and quality of life to the heart of the city. The project is promoted by Mutina Arborea Impresa Sociale, with Opocrin Group as the exclusive sponsor, in full alignment with the Group’s initiatives on sustainability and the Opocrin Group WE CARE programme.

Health is not just about treating illness; it necessarily begins with the environment in which people live their daily lives. As a pharmaceutical company, we firmly believe that scientific research and innovation lead to a better quality of life; that is our mission.
However, we are equally convinced that ‘well-being’ also means breathing cleaner air, living in more sustainable cities and creating spaces that improve people’s quality of life. “Giardino della Salute e del Benessere” project arose from this very idea: to create a link between scientific research, health and the environment.
– Federico Saetti, Opocrin Group CEO

The Garden was created with the aim of raising awareness among citizens and visitors of the role of green spaces as a key factor in collective wellbeing, in an urban context increasingly exposed to the effects of climate change, including heat islands, reduced biodiversity, air pollution and extreme weather events. From this perspective, the presence of plants is not merely an aesthetic element, but a genuine strategic green infrastructure, capable of improving the city’s liveability and having a positive impact on people’s physical and mental well-being.

This project is part of the Modena’s Festival dello Sviluppo Sostenibile, organised by Associazione per la Responsabilità Sociale d’Impresa, and engages with the themes of Agenda 2030, enhancing Piazza Grande, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the symbolic heart of the city, as a place of awareness, education and shared wellbeing.
